This is the second of two podcasts presenting some little-known sides of Motown Records -- such as more big-name acts you might not know were on the Motown family of labels. And even though Motown Records is best known for its Black performers, it created a successful label just for White rock artists, too (and it was named after one of those acts). The Motown Records roster also included a television and movies action hero who found a way to make hit records when he wasn't hitting bad guys. And there's the only top 200 Billboard-charted album by someone who has a United States national holiday named in his honor -- that famous and revered someone was on Motown, too.
