Rare & Scratchy Rock 'N Roll is rockumentary podcast series with the greatest rock and roll stories on record, plus the untold tales of some great hits that time forgot, but maybe you'll still remember.

From the early days of rock and roll to the present day, it seems there's always been more artists than material. That's why so many rock acts "popped over" to a place called Tin Pan Alley. And they still do, including several established acts creating new classics out of old ones. In many cases, the composers who crafted them could never have dreamed their pop songs would be re-purposed as rock and roll. But at least one crossed over to co-compose a hit with a legendary rock and roll star.

On this part 2 of 2 podcasts, Radio Dave will take you on a return trip to Tin Pan Alley. You'll hear the remarkable stories of two legendary composers -- Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer, along with the Tin Pan Alley connections of Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Dire Straits, among many others. Those stories and a whole lot more tales about tunes that made rock and roll history are all right here.
